kVASy - Consumption Billing takes centre stage within the product line kVASy - Billing and is supplemented by the modules Energy Data Management (EDM), Special Contract Billing, Contract Management, Grid Access- and Grid Usage Management, Meter and Fees Management as well as Cost Distribution Billing. It allows the billing of all conventional products such as electrical energy, services, gas, district heating, water/sewage, precipitation water, as well as new products which can be defined by the user with the help of a product generator.
Apart from conventional products, other services can be defined and billed without any restrictions. These include not only data services, waste disposal, street cleaning, and telecommunications, but also taxes and fees. With these performance features, kVASy - Consumption Billing is highly suited for use in the multi-utility companies of the future.
kVASy adapts itself flexibly to current regulation mechanisms and competition models. It also covers the total spectrum of unbundling possibilities, from the traditional imprint of integrated companies up to complete legal unbundling of companies. Among the features implemented are the representation of grid usage and supply contracts and the allocation of customers to dealers and grid operators including the arranged load profiles.
In kVASy any flat rate price or price based on energy rate can be defined in a price list. They can be represented both individually and separately. Consumption dependant taxes or fees can be depicted as price components in any structure. Other price components such as transfer prices, effective price ceilings, reductions, the billing of scaled or zone prices and best price billing can also be implemented. On the basis of the allocation of prices to different prices categories, it is possible to make structured and plausible revenue analyses. Period dependent contracts and successive tariffs can be monitored and billed.
All conventional products in the utility industry can be billed with kVASy - Billing. The billing conditions and customer data can be defined for each product individually and/or for the total product range for the customer. The record of the customer, consumption point and meter is maintained, so that corrections and searches for any period in the past are possible.
In the interest of maintaining a high quality of invoicing, the master data can be checked with the help of different analyses and validations. Additionally, meter readings can be verified in consumption control with the help of user-defined formulas and plausibility parameters.
In kVASy, all customary forms of billing can be implemented – rolling billing processes with any user-defined periodicity, effective date billing and billing notices for regular standing payments. Particularly in rolling billing processes with any user defined periodicity, the problem of limitation is solved because the quantities and revenues can be extrapolated for not yet billed periods.
